Topo!Pro Intelligent, Interactive and Immediate Mapping Tools for the GIS Professional

TOPO! Pro for ArcGIS

Land Management

Land management agencies, such as the National Park Service, the Bureau of Land Management, National Forest Service, Tribal Associations, and state and local parks and forestry agencies, use TOPO! Pro as a visualization tool when designing land use plans, for placement of utilities and facilities, and for determining visitor usage patterns. TOPO! Pro is also used for fire fighting, emergency planning, and asset management in public lands.

Private land developers and managers use TOPO! Pro to plan land use, to determine how best to utilize resources, and as a primary visualization tool for surveying and infrastructure plans.

TOPO! Pro and TOPO! Pro for ArcGIS are used by land managers to:

•  Quickly and accurately record boundaries of fires, flooding, weed and insect infestations, “blow downs,” fauna migrations, and much more;

•  Utilize instant mapping tools with or without real time GPS, by air or on the ground;

•  Seamless 1:100,000- and 1:24,000-scale USGS maps save time by eliminating the “cutting” and “collaring” that you have to do when using quads from the USGS. The seamless data also makes it easy to zoom and pan across wide areas, and to create presentation-quality prints centered where you want them.

•  Create and use your own symbology, icons, and line styles to represent ongoing projects, specific points of interest, staging areas for emergency responders, threatened areas, water sources, evacuation routes, landing strips, and much more;

•  Calculate exact Area for any polygon – and select one or more polygons for Area Analysis;

•  Use desktop or mobile computers to manage content and display the fire maps with such features as shaded relief, video attachments, photo attachments, plus documents and comments;

•  Generate elevation profiles for quick terrain perspective;

•  Attach Photos, Notes, Digital Video and Web links to any location on the map, and share with other TOPO! Pro users;

•  “Search for Nearest” enables you to locate essential services and get distance and bearing for landing strips, water resources, hospitals and more;

•  Easily incorporate your maps into reports or documents;

•  Record and save information with Date and Time stamping for post-incident review;

•  Seamless 1:100,000 and 1:24,000 topographical maps available for all 50 states.
